1. The charger is small and compact. The unit doesn't protrude out from the outlet in my car. Most chargers have that massive end sticking out, like a cancerous growth. This thing is small and sleek.
2. The long standing issue with phone chargers is the connector. The side that physically plugs into the phone, not the side that plugs into the car... at least not for me. Purchasing a USB charger allows me to replace the USB cable after I screw up the "Micro-USB" side of the cable. USB cables are cheap and you can get replacement ones from Amazon for $2-$4 without batting an eye. So, with this charger, when I muck up the phone side of the cable, I can replace the USB cable and keep my charger. Saves plastic, saves the environment.
3. There are 2 charging ports on this charger and it will allow me to charge my iPad and my Fiancee's Nexus 10 tablet, simultaneously on long trips... or an iphone and an iPad. Mix and match... think of the possibilities!
4. All devices like to be charged with more power than the minimum amperage requirement. I.E., my Samsung Galaxy SIII asks for a minimum charging amp of .5, this charger has 2 ports: 1.0AMPS and 2.1AMPS. This will ensure a fast, strong, complete charge for my phone. 1. While it's description claims it has a 2 Amp port and a 1 Amp port, the reality is that it has bridged the two ports and it can only source 2 Amps total. It is not capable of delivering 3 Amps combined like the description implicitly claims and could never simultaneously charge an iPad and a smart phone. (UPDATE: The technical details section now indicates more clearly the 2A total, which is appreciated.)

Like many others my HTC Evo first saw this charger as a USB charger and would not draw enough power to maintain a charge while GPS navigating and streaming music at the same time.
The disassemble of the case damaged it slightly and this obviously voided my warranty, but the results are as good as one could hope for. In our Nissan Altima the modded version of this adapter was able to positively charge both the Evo under full load as well as an iPad 2 at the same time.

I'm not being bias with this I just did some research and I choose those car charger that I've already used.
There are plenty of fish in the internet and even not in the internet you can find lots of brand to choose from. Do some research and you'll be satisfied.
